NOTE: I would enjoy talking with you by phone, but as I only operate this site on a very part time basis, my time is very limited (a couple hours in the evening). Most all questions can be answered by email which is my preferred way of you contacting me, at least at first. If you really want to speak with me, please email me first and state your questions, your general location, the U.S. Mountain Time (my time zone) you would like me to call you, and your telephone number. If you call me first, it is likely that I won't be able to take your call at the time; it would be more efficient for both of us to schedule a phone call via email. I do my best to respond to emails within 24 hours.
Jim is not involved with running the website or email because he is technologically challenged and lives about nine hundred miles away from me.
Also, though Jim has lived 24 years since his recovery from emphysema and COPD, unfortunately, he has suffered several strokes in the past few years which have impaired his mental, physical and speaking abilitities. He is still alive and gets around, but he is operating at about seventy percent of what he was able to just a few years ago.
Seeing Jim's functioning level go down has been difficult on me and our family. We have been so thankful that he beat emphysema and COPD all those years ago and had him for all these 'extra' years. Though he can't tell stories and jokes like he did all his life, or ride horses, play ball and go fishing with us like he once did for over 20 years since his restored life, we have been so thankful to God that we have many precious memories of and with him. Had Jim not discovered and did this treatment all those years ago, we would not have these memories, and none of his grandchildren would have known 'Papa'.
For over 20 years Jim loved to tell his recovery story to anyone who would care to listen. I enjoyed hearing it every time I heard him telling it! I've long wanted to get Jim's story in a form to share it on a wider basis with others, especially those who may be in a similar condition that he once was and need hope and options.
